Hebrew Proofreader (Remote | Freelance/Contract)

Our client, Rescale Media Group, is looking for a native Hebrew Proofreader to support its growing portfolio of direct-to-consumer health and wellness brands serving the Israeli market.

Rescale Media Group builds and scales e-commerce brands across DACH, the UK, Canada, Australia, and Israel. As their products are marketed primarily through paid social advertising, every piece of content plays a critical role in customer engagement. From ad copy and subtitles to AI-generated voiceovers and landing pages, the Hebrew Proofreader serves as the final quality check before content goes live.

This role goes beyond proofreading for grammar and spelling. The ideal candidate has a native ear for Hebrew and can identify awkward translations, unnatural phrasing, localization issues, RTL formatting errors, and inconsistencies that affect the overall quality of the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Proofread Meta ad copy, including primary text, headlines, and descriptions.

• Review Hebrew subtitles (SRT files) for accuracy, readability, timing, and natural line breaks.

• Quality-check AI-generated Hebrew voiceovers by identifying pronunciation, stress, and number-reading issues.

• Proofread landing pages, advertorials, and checkout flows.

• Ensure consistency in Hebrew spelling (כתיב מלא), grammar, punctuation, and tone.

• Verify right-to-left (RTL) formatting, pricing, dates, and number displays.

• Identify untranslated English text and formatting inconsistencies.

• Flag content that sounds translated rather than naturally written in Hebrew.

• Ensure translated marketing claims remain aligned with approved source content.

• Contribute to maintaining a consistent Hebrew style guide covering spelling, terminology, brand names, and tone of voice.

Qualifications

Candidates should have:

• Native-level proficiency in Hebrew.

• Good working proficiency in English.

• At least 2 years of proofreading, editing, translation, or localization experience.

• Strong knowledge of Hebrew grammar, orthography, spelling, and RTL typography.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.

• Experience working with subtitle editing tools (such as Subtitle Edit or Aegisub) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:

• Direct-response or performance marketing

• Health, wellness, supplement, or medical content

• AI-generated Hebrew voiceover review

• ClickUp, Google Drive, Shopify, or Funnelish

Trial Task (Required)

As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a trial task to assess their proofreading accuracy, attention to detail, and language quality.

Important: The trial task submission must include a Loom video explaining the candidate's thought process while completing the assessment. The Loom recording is a mandatory part of the evaluation and provides insight into the candidate's proofreading approach and decision-making process.
